Overview:

A pair of Reebok shoes that you can write on? Now you’re Talkin’ Krazy. It’s true; Reebok’s Talkin’ Krazy shoes have super slick whiteboard material on the sides that allow you to write messages on the side of the shoe with dry erase markers. Yeah, maybe it’s not rocket since but it’s a pretty catchy idea. Hopefully your coach is cool enough to let you write some cocky messages on them. Otherwise, what’s the point?

So let’s pose another question about the Reebok Talkin’ Krazy. If the first pair of Jordan Shoes was banned from the NBA for being distracting, what’s going to happen with the Talkin’ Krazys? Well, maybe no one in the NBA is wearing the Talkin’ Krazys but still; is the ref going to T-you-up for writing something about your opponent’s mom?

Style/Design:
Typically you won’t hear me hyping up a pair of shiny gaudy basketball shoes but for some reason, the Reebok Talkin’ Krazys have me questioning myself. The Talking Krazys are shiny but classy; that is until you mark them up with smack. I guess I’d compare the Krazys as a Cadillac with Rims and on occasion, you may see your Cadillac become victim of self inflicted graffiti.

Fit:
When I first heard of these whiteboard shoes I thought for sure that it was a foot sweat heaven. However, the Talkin’ Krazys have surprisingly above average breathability with 13 vents. And if for some reason you can’t help but soak every pair of shoes with sweat there is a PU removable sockliner. Grip is pretty solid with a standard Herribone outsole. Ankle support is above average for a mid cut shoe because of the TPU cage support lacing system. The Talkin’ Krazy shoes come with DMX™ Foam cushioning and an IMEVA midsole so comfort is no less than what I would expect from Reebok. And finally, at 16.4 ounces the Talkin Krazy is slightly heavier than comparable Reebok mid cut shoes but that is probably from the whiteboard material.

Price:
Finally we can get Talkin’ about the Cheap price! Eastbay has recently reduced the price to under $60! Not the cheapest of cheap but what else can you possibly ask for in a basketball shoe. Not only is it one of my favorites for all of the functional and technological features, but you can write on it. We found other places to grab this shoe but once again Eastbay has somehow been the first to offer early discounts all while sizes and colors are still in stock.
