You’ll want to keep the Rbk Buckets III indoors because the circular tread pattern is not meant for the street; get this shoe on hardwood though and you’ll see it shine.
Style/Design:
Call me old fashioned but I love a classic basketball shoe design and that’s exactly what you get with the Reebok Buckets III. Classic, clean and sleek from heal to toe. The built in strap looks like it’s for style alone but it has a hidden functionality. The strap runs from the outside of your mid sole and wraps around to the inside of your upper ankle providing a hidden ankle support and roll protection. One not so classic design on the Reebok Buckets 3 is the circular tread pattern. I mentioned above that this is an indoor shoe. The reason being is if you’re making tight cuts on loose pavement you’ll slide all over the place. The circular tread is meant to be used on smooth clean floors. This shoe excels in multi direction cuts because the circular tread provides contact with the floor at all times. A typical herringbone tread pattern is best for forward motion or dead sprints. 90% of your game is moving laterally so the Rbk Buckets III took that into account with its circular tread.
Fit:
The Rbk Buckets 3 has a classic look with today’s comfort technology. Strapping tight to your foot with a molded sockliner and an IMEVA midsole comfort is an understatement. It’s a mid-cut shoe so it provided good ankle support but if you have an issue with high ankle strains, maybe you want to pass on the Reebok Buckets III. With the Reebok trademarked DMC ride you’ll reduce your typical foot fatigue and the upper mesh venting provides above average breathability. So the Rbk buckets 3 is very foot friendly.
