Jordan Melo M3

Jordan Melo M3
Overview:
The Jordan Melo M3 was dedicated to Carmelo Anthony’s birthday on May 29th 2007. This shoe was widely successful and has since been retired making it difficult to find. The Jordan Melo M3 is best suited for hardwood play or casual wear.
Style/Design:
As with all of Carmelo Anthony’s signature shoes, style and performance are priorities and the Jordan Melo M3 is no exception. The leather and suede upper make the M3 unique but also enhances the performance by adding support and strengthen the durability. The Foamposite heal provides advanced cushioning and keeps the shoe molded to the hardwood at all times. The midsole is comprised of Nike Phylon technology and uses Zoom Air Bags in the forefoot. For ultimate traction a modified circular herringbone pattern provides traction for multi-directional traction. Jordan shoes have typically been slightly heavier than some of Nike’s high performance basketball shoes and at 15.6 ounces, the Jordan Melo M3 follow suit. Nike’s most recent high performance shoes have been down to around 13 ounces. A few ounces aside, the Jordan Melo M3s are high performance basketball shoes with style.
Fit:
The Jordan Melo M3s are some of the most comfortable Jordans to date. With a new fit system the Jordan Melo M3 straps onto your foot and makes it feel like your foot was meant to be together with the M3. The shoe fits true to size but some have mentioned the width is a little larger than normal. Regardless, if you are able to get your hands on these now rare shoes, we recommend snagging your normal shoe size.
Price:
Now onto one of the most important parts; how cheap can we get the M3s? Well the original list price of the Jordan Melo M3s was $114.99 but has dropped prices ranging from $50 to $60. For Jordans’, this is as cheap as cheap basketball shoes get. However, the Jordan Melo M3s have gone through an interesting economic cycle. On the release date, high demand allowed Jordan to price the shoe at about $115. After the initial hype began to sag and shoe companies needed to liquidate stock to bring in new merchandise, the Jordan Melo M3 price was dropped between $50 and $60. At this price the M3 supply was quickly diminished making them scarce. Now, few stores if any have any supply left and the stores that do are pricing the shoes back up around $90 to $100
